Why we built Common Ground Equity
OUR STORY
Common Ground Equity was built on a simple belief: land should not sit stalled when it could be helping create homes, projects, and real local growth.
A lot of land today is owned by people who are not using it. Some inherited it. Some bought it years ago with intentions that never materialized. Some just have not gotten around to figuring out what to do with it. At the same time, builders and developers are constantly looking for opportunities that fit what they are actually building.
We saw a gap between those two sides and built a business around closing it. We focus on direct deals, clear communication, and outcomes that make sense. We care where land ends up, not just that it sells.
We connect landowners with buyers who are ready to build, improve, and put land to real use. That is not a marketing line. It shapes who we work with and how we run every deal.
"We care where land ends up, not just that it sells."
Land should not get stuck.
It should move forward.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
A lot of land is owned long-term, inherited, or sitting without a clear plan. At the same time, the U.S. faces a shortage of millions of homes, and home prices are up 47% since 2020. We are not claiming to solve that. We are operating in the middle of it, with a clear bias toward getting land into the hands of people who will actually use it.
